AutoMakler provides a vehicle delivery cost calculator for US auto auction cars (Copart, IAAI) with delivery to Georgia and Azerbaijan. This policy describes how we handle your data on our website and browser extension.
Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:
Website (automakler.az)
- Account information: phone number, first name, and last name when you register.
- Search history: lot numbers, VINs, and auction URLs you search for — used to show your search history and calculate delivery costs.
- Session data: a temporary session cookie to keep you logged in.
Browser Extension
- Page URL on Copart and IAAI — used only to construct a link to the AutoMakler calculator with the correct vehicle lot.
- Server URL preference — stored locally in your browser via Chrome Storage sync.
Analytics & Advertising
To measure how our website is used and to help keep our services free, automakler.az uses the following Google services:
- Google Analytics — measures site traffic and how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate (city-level) location.
- Google AdSense — displays ads on some pages. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites (personalized advertising).
You can control or opt out of personalized advertising, and learn how Google uses cookies and data on sites that use its services, at the links below. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies or personalized ads are used.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We do not store your payment card details — card payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Epoint).
- We do not collect data about your activity on other websites ourselves (see Analytics & Advertising above for the Google services we use).
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Browser Extension Permissions
The AutoMakler browser extension requires the following permissions:
- storage — Saves your configured server URL preference across sessions.
- host_permissions (copart.com, iaai.com) — Required to inject the "Calculate Delivery" button on auction lot pages.
Third-Party Services
Our browser extension communicates only with the AutoMakler server you configure (default: automakler.az). Our website additionally uses the Google Analytics and Google AdSense services described in the Analytics & Advertising section above. Apart from these providers, we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
